Rachel is an Associate at TEN x TEN Studio in Minneapolis. Fueled by curiosity and a background in the biological sciences, Rachel is delighted by the sensory qualities of ecological systems and driven by cross-disciplinary collaboration. Her work experience spans international urban master plans, public realm and streetscape design, sustainable infrastructure development, and innovative public engagement. While receiving her Master’s of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota, Rachel’s academic work took her careening down research pathways involving post-industrial design in rural Missouri, cultural landscapes in Northern Minnesota, sea level rise in the Bay Area, and culminated in a capstone project examining vulnerable communities on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana.

Rachel was the recipient of an ASLA-MN Academic Honor Award, a Capstone Award, and a UMN College of Design - Design and Scholarship Excellence Award. She is also involved in the StepUp Design Pipeline Program for local youth and has served as a Director of Programming on the executive committee of ASLA-MN. When she’s not thinking about what to plant in the vegetable garden, Rachel enjoys visiting natural history museums, watching the bird feeders, and knitting.
